Leadership Team

Michael Jones

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

With more than 40 years of experience in the IT industry, Jones is a life-long entrepreneur. Driven to create new levels of efficiency surrounding today’s explosive data growth and the people tasked with managing it, he’s dedicated to Alchemi’s mission to holistically address insider threats and data resilience. Jones previously led corporate development at Herndon, Virginia-based ViON Corporation, a pioneering cloud service provider that offered enterprise data center solutions for the government and commercial businesses. Jones is a former member of the U.S. Marine Corps and Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Trustees of San Miguel School, a middle school for underprivileged Latino boys. He earned a degree in economics from the University of Maryland.

Rob Sims ​

Founder & Chief Technology Officer ​

As the founder and CTO of Alchemi Data Management, Sims has spearheaded numerous data management, storage and security solutions during an IT career that spans more than three decades. Bringing a powerful mix of technical expertise and executive management experience, he leads Alchemi’s R&D teams and the company’s effort to offer the most robust enterprise solutions centered on compliance, resilience and security. Sims most recently served as President and CEO of Austin, Texas-based CitadelTek and Crossroads Systems. He holds a degree in electrical engineering from Colorado State University and attended Harvard Business School.
